Chris Leclercq's fencing journey started at the age of 8, captivated by the sport during the 1996 Olympics. His passion for fencing flourished in college, leading him on a cross-country adventure to refine his skills. He trained under Olympian Cody Mattern in Oregon, a former student of Michael Marx, and continued his journey through California, Montana, and North Carolina, each state adding a new chapter to his story.
Chris excels at making fencing an engaging and enjoyable experience for everyone. He delights in guiding both youth and adult fencers, helping them discover their own paths in the sport. Beyond the fencing salle, Chris enjoys Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, history, and board games, reflecting his intellectual curiosity and strategic thinking.
Chris is more than just a coach; he's a lifelong learner and enthusiast of fencing, dedicated to sharing his passion and knowledge. For the past 2 years, he has been coaching at Marx Fencing Academy, inspiring and mentoring the next generation of fencers.
